Benefits & Potential of Immersion Education

The Achievement Gap Committee, formed in 2007 to highlight research, policies, and programs that help close the achievement gap, holds regular brown bag presentations.

In December 2014, Tara Fortune from the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition at the University of Minnesota and Tiny Maynor from Pierre Bottineau French Immersion in Minneapolis talked about the potential for language immersion education to address the achievement gap.
